This is a science fiction movie that was released in1999. It was a tremendo sucess, and took many fans around the world. The movei take place in a near future where people live in a simulated reality created by an atificialy inteligent computer that uses the people's energy as his own source of energy. In this non real world, a programer called Thomas Anderson descovers the truth and, helped by others, come out of this artificial wolrd to the real one, and try to destroy the machine. At a first look, it may seemed to be just a great movie about artificial inteligenci, computer's program and a future full of tecnology. But it is not! Its success comes exactly becouse of its psychological message. Who never thought about the artificiality of our world, lifes, relationships? This sence that all things are fake it is why some people commit masochism, they cut ther own flesh, just to feel that they are really alive, that things are real, to see the blood coming out. Could this be real? Do we have enough tecnology to do this? who knows...
